STUDENT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL
We believe that all students have leadership potential and offer our students an exciting range of co-curricular activities and training to develop leadership qualities, character and personal growth.
The Student Leadership Council is an active body in the school involving students from various levels. Elected by their peers, student leaders take on key responsibilities, working collaboratively with their fellow students and staff to set goals, inspire positive change, and foster a welcoming school environment.
Our school leaders work together to enhance student wellbeing, improve school facilities, and contribute to school policies. Student Leadership Council members play a key role in driving positive change and encouraging their peers to get involved in school activities, using their voice to make a difference at McClelland College.
At McClelland College, student leadership provides an opportunity to develop essential skills that extend beyond the classroom. Through leadership roles, students strengthen their sense of community and build a deeper understanding of personal responsibility.
The Student Leadership Council has a dedicated teacher who mentors and guides student leaders, helping them grow in their roles and empowering them to represent both their peers and the College at a local and broader community level.
Students can engage in leadership opportunities through:
- Serving as student representatives on the School Council
- Representing the school in competitions and community forums
- Formal senior school leadership roles
- Leadership in sports programs
- Leadership in the performing arts program
- Interact Club
